If you live in London and you haven’t visited we’re ashamed. This is despite the fact that until Saturday just gone, one member of Twice the Health had not either. I will not shame who.
It is a foodie’s haven. It showcases London’s finest grub, be it cookies the size of an average head, or a noodle bar recently crowned as Twice the Health’s favourite lunch spot. Borough Market is a weekend must.
Veggies line the walkways and spices cover the stands. Everywhere you turn some kind of culinary delight presents itself. Not only this, on approaching each stall you are teased and tempted with tasters leaving you with no choice but to reach for your cash.
For anyone with a sweet tooth, I should warn you, your weekends will never be the same. Meringues, cookies, cakes. Gluten free, sugar free, sugar-full. You name it. Borough’s got it. Fudge in every flavour, and pastries filled with every cream. You’re certainly not ‘starved’ for choice. In fact it is impossible to feel anything but fully satisfied whilst under Boroughs vast cover.
For our fellow #fitfam never fear, for new addition Wok It has lunch covered. Street Food Noodled deliciousness cooked with only the freshest ingredients right before your eyes.
You simply pick your favourite noodle base, protein and selection of veg. Then select the sauce that most tickles your fancy and watch as they ‘wok it’. Our current favourite combo is the ‘Sweet Potato and Buckwheat noodles, with chicken, pak choi, broccoli and fried in their homemade teriyaki sauce’ ?
In fact it’s so good we decided to showcase the complete Wok It journey, featuring us!!
Happiness is found within these sumptuous white pots. And the best part? The fresh ingredients and cooking method make it a healthy nutritious dish sure to satisfy without being left ridden with guilt!
And if you crave something sweet to fill the spot always available for dessert why not try a warming cup of brew?
And yes, we’re sorry that for many of you it will be the weekend before you get to explore Londons most renowned market. So we’ll leave you with a few more pictures, to fuel your current state of ‘food dreaming’.
Don’t forget to let us know your favourite Borough spots ?
